Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told Congress on Wednesday that it “happens all the time with infections” where “a person’s natural resistance” to COVID-19 can prevent them from contracting the virus after prolonged exposure to someone who tests positive.
