I work on the COVID floor at my hospital. It’s full. The entire floor + the ICU are at capacity w\/ COVID patients \u2014 almost all unvaccinated. Our district has one of the lowest vaccination rates because our rep Lauren Boebert spreads lies & misinformation about the vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burnett is a veterinarian. She also claims to be a part-time physical therapist at\u00a0Cheyenne (WY) Regional Medical Center<\/a>, explaining the physical therapy table and dumbells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colorado\u2019s Third District\u2019s major population center is Grand Junction.\u00a0 It is reporting ICU usage at normal levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grand Junction metro area\u00a0has reported having\u00a038\u00a0staffed adult ICU beds.\u00a019 are filled by non-COVID patients and 5 are filled by COVID patients.\u00a0Overall,\u00a024\u00a0out of\u00a038\u00a0(65%) are filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheyenne metro area\u00a0has reported having\u00a025\u00a0staffed adult ICU beds.\u00a01 are filled by non-COVID patients and 12 are filled by COVID patients.\u00a0Overall,\u00a013\u00a0out of\u00a025\u00a0(55%) are filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren Boebert\u2019s Democrat opponent is not a medical doctor and does not work on a Wuhan ward or ICU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is a veterinarian who is a part-time physical therapist. She doesn\u2019t work in a hospital in Colorado, so no matter what is happening in \u201cher hospital,\u201d it has nothing to do with Colorado. Colorado\u2019s ICU situation is at or below normal. The vaccination rate in Third District is on par with the rest of the state, and one of the two highest vaccination rates in Colorado is in Third District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Literally, nothing Burnett claimed is true. And yet, it is allowed to circulate as though it has some relationship to the facts on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
