Greg Abbott (R) on Tuesday insisted he will not implement another statewide mask mandate as calls for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/07\/15\/los-angeles-county-re-instates-indoor-mask-mandate-regardless-of-vaccination-status\/\">reinstating<\/a>&nbsp;such restrictions grow nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere will be no mask mandate imposed, and the reasons for that are very clear,\u201d Abbott&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2021\/07\/21\/greg-abbott-texas-mask-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;during a Tuesday interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere are so many people who have immunities to COVID [Chinese coronavirus], whether it be through the vaccination, whether it be through their own exposure and their recovery from it, which would be acquired immunity,\u201d he explained, adding it would be \u201cinappropriate to require people who already have immunity to wear a mask.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Texas Gov.
